ill, actually is a 12 minute documentary exploring the challenges of being young and chronically ill in a carefully curated online culture. When you’re too ill for IRL, where do you turn?
The film was commissioned by BBC Arts, the BFI, and Plimsoll Productions as part of their 2019 Born Digital season.

ill, actually premiered at the BFI Southbank and on BBC Four, and is now showing at film festivals: at BAFTA-recognised Underwire Festival 2019, where it was nominated for Best Producer, and at Together! 2019 Disability Film Festival, where it won Best First Film. It will also be shown at the Barbican as part of Chronic Youth Film Festival 2020.
It has been featured in The Times, Radio Times, Able Magazine, and in interviews with Cognizant and Enable Magazine.
